Australian-born vocalist/composer Biddy Healey presented Brazilian-inspired contemporary jazz, with nods to Jobim, Bjork, and the Great American Songbook at The Nash Jazz Club. This was the world premier of Healey‘s project for 9-piece band – with strings, horns, and rhythm section – which she will be recording in New York with an all-star ensemble that will include some of New York’s finest jazz musicians.
Biddy Healey - voice / cavaquinho, David Berry - piano, Ben Hedquist - bass, Megyn Neff - violin, Josiel Perez - trumpet, Yeil Perk - cello, Carolyn Snyder - viola, Chris Stover - trombone, Matt McClintock - drums.
