The aptly named “Power Trio” brought together three of Arizona’s most accomplished musical powers at The Nash Jazz Club. Mike Kocour - organ, Stan Sorenson - guitar, Lewis Nash on drums and a special guest appearance by Grammy nominated saxophonist Everette Harp.

In addition to being the Director of Jazz Studies at ASU, Mike Kocour has decades of performing and recording experience with five critically acclaimed CDs. Arguably the face (and voice) of jazz guitar in Phoenix, Stan Sorenson has performed at every major venue, and with pretty much every notable musician, during his successful career. The namesake of The Nash, Lewis Nash was called “Jazz’s Most Valuable Player” by Modern Drummer magazine with award-winning projects with some of the immortals of the jazz world.
